Házená

Házená, commonly known as handball, is a team sport in which two teams, typically consisting of seven players each, compete to score goals by throwing a ball into the opponent’s net. The game is played on a rectangular court with specific dimensions and features a goal at each end. Players aim to advance the ball by passing, dribbling, and shooting, while adhering to rules that prohibit certain actions such as running with the ball for an excessive duration. The sport combines elements of basketball, soccer, and water polo, emphasizing agility, teamwork, and strategy. Matches consist of two halves, and the team with the most goals at the end of the game is declared the winner. Házená is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF) and is played both indoors and outdoors at various levels, from recreational to professional.
