Rukomet

Rukomet, known in English as handball, is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outfield players and one goalkeeper) pass and dribble a ball to throw it into the opposing team’s goal to score points. The game is played on a rectangular court with a goal at each end, and the objective is to outscore the opponent by shooting the ball into their goal.

The sport is characterized by its fast pace, physical play, and strategic teamwork. It is typically played indoors, but there are outdoor variations as well. Players use their hands to control and pass the ball, and they may also use body contact to defend against opponents.

Rukomet is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF), which establishes the rules of the game and organizes international competitions, including the World Championship and the Olympic Games. The sport is popular in many countries, particularly in Europe, and has a strong following at both the amateur and professional levels.
