Communism

Communism is a socio-political and economic ideology that advocates for a classless system in which the means of production are owned communally, and private ownership is abolished. It aims to eliminate social hierarchies and establish a society where goods and services are distributed according to need rather than profit. The foundational ideas of communism were developed by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in the 19th century, particularly in their work “The Communist Manifesto.”

In practice, communism seeks to create a revolutionary transition from capitalism to a stateless, classless society through the establishment of a proletarian state. The ideology has been implemented in various forms throughout history, notably in the Soviet Union, China, and Cuba. While communism emphasizes equality and the abolition of exploitation, many implementations have led to authoritarian regimes, resulting in economic and political challenges. The concept has been influential in global politics and continues to be a significant point of debate and discussion in contemporary society.
